Harrison Street Housing Development Corporation was founded in 2008 with a vision: to create a world where everyone has access to safe, affordable housing that fosters a sense of belonging and opportunity in a clean community. Our work began on Harrison Street, where dedicated volunteers cleaned up the street and cleaned abandoned lots and properties. We wanted to change the character of the community, thereby deterring criminal activity. Over the years, our work has expanded, but our mission remains clear—to develop homes, strengthen communities, and transform lives.
